It's a jungle out there.

Thank you Lord for springtime.      

OMG I've been so busy outside. I so need to catch up on my friends blog, I don't want to miss any beautiful posts, so this Sunday I will spend the day, well the afternoon visiting blogs.

For most of last week, I've been working on the garden non stop, not there yet. The weather down here is still not too hot and I can still get somethings done. We're planning on having a truck full of mulch delivered very soon and I'm so looking forward to that final little touch. I leave you with some pictures of our back yard. This is my style of gardening, al jungle. I'm so bad a t cutting things back.   

In the garden.

My favorite place to be. This week I've been top dressing all my plants. My general garden is pretty much established already and most of my plants are in the ground, and I love it that way. I do have a few containers, but most of it is in the ground.  They do require some yearly TLC. As soon as it get a bit warmer,  which will be very soon down here, I will be fertilizing.

So far I'm loving my vegetable and herb garden, doing really well. Planning on planting 3 or 4 more packets of Basil seeds, so want to make pesto this year. I can't complain, it's been an unusual long and cool winter down here and if you live in south Florida you know what I mean. Thank you Lord.

Vintage ironing board.

I've been wanting a vintage ironing board for a very long time. Well, my sister found one for me and I'm in love with it. The legs are solid iron and the top is wood, so very strong. I made this cute little over for it. I love the fabric pattern and the color is my new favorite color. This cover can easily be removed for when I need to tuck a sleeve or something through. I can't seam to fold it and store it away, love looking at it.   

Re-cycled boxes.

I like how these boxes turned out, kinda sweet, don't you think. My mom was going to throw them away, I think they're chocolate boxes. They were clean inside, but smelled like chocolate and still do. Why get rid of my favorite food scent, lol. I'm really getting into the color blue, I love it. I decided to keep my junky junky art jewelry in them.

What a super sweet blessing I just received from my Facebook friend Esme Mike. She is an amazing talented artist, anything she touches turns into gorgeousness. The tags are precious, but that little heart is so soft and tender looking. Thank you Esme for thinking of me.

I'm keeping all my friends from up north in my prayers. I know you've been having a brutal winter, just hang in there a little bit longer. You will soon be having the most beautiful spring ever. In the mean time I hope these picture will warm you up a bit.  

We've been having great weather here in south Florida. It's been unusually cool for about 3 months now and that's a real treat for us. I've been playing in the garden as much as I can, because come summer you won't catch me doing any garden work what so ever. 

The best part about garden work is sitting down at the end of the day and just take it all in.

I can't believe it's going to be Valentines day already, this year is going to fly by too. I'm planning on doing a little baking for my honey, we'll see how that goes. I haven't baked in a while and I miss it. So far the time management thing that I started this year is working very well for me.  

This is also one of my favorite time of year to peek into some of my friend's blogs. I love seeing valentines day projects and home decor idea. These ladies out her in blogglandia are truly amazing.

Garden beauties basking in the beautiful sun.

These pictures I took at dusk, my favorite time to take pictures of the garden. This time a year in south Florida means cool sunny days and cooler nights. This truly is my favorite time of year to work in the garden. Most of my cleaning and pruning is all done and now I can just enjoy the garden. God know that in mid summer, no gardening for me, just fun in the pool. I think I enjoy so much this time of year because our summers are brutal. I hope you enjoy these beauties.
