A drive to the country.

What a gorgeous spring day today, cool, crisp and not a cloud in the sky. Mid day I decided to visit my sister out in the country. It's a beautiful drive that I so enjoy. The farmers had all the fields tilled and ready. The soil here is red and vibrant, so pretty.
She gave me some fresh organic eggs to bring home. She had just gathered them, and they were a bit dirty.  It still catches me by surprise because I think they would be clean and shinny like from the super market.  No problem, took them home cleaned them up and they're beautiful.  This will never get old for this city girl.

Laundry room reveal.

I was going for a bohemian farmhouse, lol.  Not really, I had no idea how it would turn out, but I knew I wanted lots of my favorite color, blue. The inspiration piece is the little camper from HL. I just used what I had around the house.
I love the look of the painted vintage pine wood panels.  Now there's a smile on my face every time I walk in my bright and happy laundry room.

Oh it was bad.

I love the character and charm this old house has. It's a beauty and warmth that is hard to describe, but can definitely be “felt” when you're inside an older home.  Maybe it's the simple basic trim, wood molding or the old squeaky wood floors. But we're trying our best to preserve the past and respecting the character of this older home.
This is the back mud room, I wanted to define and enclose the laundry area. This is what we came up with, it works and I love it. I'll have more pictures, soon with the full reveal.

I've set up my little mail station and I'm loving it.

I really enjoy gathering and collecting mail ephemera, stickers, washy tape or anything I can get my hands on. I final carved a little corner for it. I now get to display the little station and it looks so pretty plus I can see it and use it.  Mission organization still in full force.
