HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Wishing all my family and friends a Happy New Year and a 2019 full of happiness, love and blessing.

Rainy days in the garden.

Went for a walk in the garden early in the morning after a little rain fall. It was so beautiful and the plants are so happy. I couldn't be happier in my new garden zone, the soil here is amazing, no more coral rock for this gardener.
Actually we couldn't be happier about the move to Alabama. Not only was it a good financial/retirement move for us, but our town is such a peaceful place and the people are so kind and real. Thank you Lord.

This is a new to me a Rose bush and it's disease tolerant, never had one.

This plant is in a beautiful container and I found it in a garage sale. I'm hoping is some kind of Camellia, the leaves look like it might be, but the flower is too small to tell yet???

This looks like a Gladiolus, but we have some cold coming in a week, it will probably freeze, I might cut all back.

Loving this garden zone.

These are my peas in late Dec. I'm so happy. I have two large containers that I made some bamboo tepees for support and they love it. I've never grown them before so I got to look at more vids on when to start picking them.  It's been cold, so they should be sweet, but I think they still have a bit to go.

Our beautiful Pearly.

I love this little thing so much, she's my shadow, goes with me everywhere. She's almost 10 years old and still has tons of energy to burn. She is however loosing her hearing and it's so sad to see that happening. This morning we went for an early walk, it's been raining for about a week and the days are very gloomy and cold. I love rainy days and the way the garden looks all full of raindrops.

Bible journaling entry.

Still getting use to the bible journaling. So far I've only used the color pencils and my Gelatos. Would love to try some image transfers next, let's see what happens. Any time doing anything in the word, I figure it's got to be a good thing, even if I don't know what I'm doing yet.

                                         Amen, actually the only way.

Merry Christmas.

For a child is born to us, A son is given to us; And the government Is upon His shoulder; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6. 6 .

Happy Birthday China.

How blessed is this girl, born on Noche Buena (Christmas eve), our father always thought that was so special and so do I. We had a great time at China and Juanky's for Noche Buena, she's the best cook ever. Her home is always so warm and welcoming, really has such a unique style, gorgeous. But, this year she outdid her self with the Christmas decorations, everything was so beautiful and done with so much love, like everything they do.

We had way too much food and it was all so delish. Missing the other half of the family, but we had a great time. My Jamo did the pork and my sister insisted on doing everything else, even on her birthday.  I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the birthday cake from the kids.  It was so beautiful.  A perfect evening with family. Life is good!

We can't help it, we're so Cuban. Coffee and Dominoes, the only thing missing is the cigar.

I love her mantel, she did a gorgeous Job.

Her unique Farmhouse style that she's becoming so popular with. Can you believe she wanted to sell this piece. I had to talk her out of it. They really put their heart in every piece they work on.

Enjoying the Christmas decor for a few more days.

This sweet little writing desk is filling the empty space till I find what I'm looking for, but I'm loving her more and more.
There's a story behind her, my other sister in Miami, right before we moved, found her on the side of the road. She took her home to me, it was a hunter green and it had no legs, but it had lots of character. My sisters know me well. She made it all the way to Alabama and it was still green, lol. Not too long ago in a garage sale I found the legs for almost nothing. It was a great moment, it all came together in my head.
I went with a Farmhouse white and lots of distressing and I love her now.

I so enjoyed decorating this home for Christmas. I had so much fun challenging myself to work and be grateful with what we have.  All the furniture in this space are hand me downs or garage sale finds. I was going for a Farmhouse feel and I think I pulled it off. Just do what you like, a lot or a little. Use many  colors or an all white pallet, make your home your sanctuary, that's what it's all about.   Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone.

Bible journaling art supplies, keeping it simple.

Trying to organize and keep my bible journaling supplies simple and accessible. I was able to fit all I think I would need in these two cases. I want to challenge myself  to use and create with what's just in here. I tend to get overwhelm when I have to many choices  and I end up not finishing what I start. Let's see how this will wok out for me.

This is the bible that I take to church, but I use My Creative Bible to do the art. I love this verse because the more evil dose his stuff, the more God turns it into blessings. My sister and I are witness to that. Thank you Lord and I pray for those that have a troubled heart.

This is my favorite pencil case, I found it online. I Love paper dolls anything.

Our new rescue baby.

He's such a sweet boy, just love this spot when the Christmas tree lights are on. He stares at the tree for hours and it's ok by me.
