My Jamo found this little nest just outside our front door. The babies did not eat for 3 days, we did give them some water with a syringe. Thank God the mama came back because they started calling for her. We had already contacted the wildlife reserve folks, but it all worked out.
These beauties I found all around our local metal dump. I'm not use to this good fertile soil, thing just grow everywhere. I have a feeling that when I'm ready to garden I won't be doing much soil amending.

This beautiful and elegant garden belongs to Martha and Les Moreland. The Moreland Family Garden began as a labor of love for Les' mother years ago, a tradition he and Martha are proud to carry forward. The back yard oasis features a large koi and goldfish pond with fountains, pergola and a bridge over a creek bed. This family was very gracious and welcomed us to view the gardens from inside the house, through a gorgeous picture window. They also took the time to print a hand out with a brief explanation and names of all the plant specimens in their property, OMG this will be so helpful for me. Thank you! Gardeners are the nicest people and southern gardeners.......what else can I say.

What a cute little town is Hartford, Alabama, population 2624. I just can't get over how such a small town finds the budget to landscape. Every single inch of garden space in the town square is simply gorgeous. A graceful fountain surrounded by Rose bushes and blooming Crepe Myrtle line the brick path to the City Hall building.
While searching for vintage metal treasure the girls took me through new streets and we discovered the cutest little storybook cottages, talk about taking the scenic route home.
