Another man's junk........my treasures.

Everyone that knows me knows that I'm frugal and mostly by necessity. I love to create happy, welcoming spaces that bring a smile to my heart. Our home is my sanctuary, my nurturing space and I'm going to make it as pleasing as I can.  All that being said, where to you keep it all. I have gotten better about passing thing on, but I sure need to work on that. 

This is a real luxury for me and one of those happy spaces. It's just a closet, but not to me. It's my very own treasure chest. I store all my valuable garage sale finds, lol and decorating goodies that I get to play with.  This may all look like a pile of junk to the untrained eye, but they're all treasures to me. 

    This space is just mine, no boys allowed and I love it. 

Butler's pantry all dress up for Christmas.

I wanted to add a few touches or red in our Christmas Decorations this year, I always do the all white and gold thing. I was inspired by the red little trucks that I'm seeing everywhere, it's so cute. I love this butler's pantry area and I'm so glad I kept it, it's another little area to decorate. 

  I love the faded, worn and much loved look of these vintage roller skates straps.

This little vintage looking camper ornament I found last year and was got me started thinking about the color red.

New house, new wreath.

My sister made me this wreath, she's so talented. I told her what my vision was and she turned it into reality.  I'm trying to incorporate some red into my Christmas decor and it's kinda hard after so many years of doing an all white Christmas. She did a beautiful job with just the right amount of red. Love it!  

Vintage little step ladder.

All painted, distressed and decorated for Christmas. I thought of putting it in the front porch with like a plant ton top of it. But, I really like it here by the tree for now.  

Loving my Christmas garland 2018

This old house has lots of doors and archways and I would love to put a garland in every one of them. This archway is the first thing you see when you come in the front door. I think that every year I'll add a couple of more and work my way all around the house. I wish I could keep it up all year, it looks beautiful at night. 

I love pink.

My problem is that I find everything beautiful. Been collecting pink ornaments to use in the white tree that I plan an putting up in my art studio. 

Taking a little decorating break.

I have a the most delish candle on and I'm making some warm apple cider with a little Cognac. Ok now I'm way too relax. I've been working on that little tray that was a box where I kept some art sullies. I painted it, actually that's the lid side of the box. I also lined the bottom with a pretty black and white check paper. I'll share as soon as I'm all done.  

Little red truck.

Now I know what all the fuss is about these vintage looking little red truck for Christmas. I finally gave in and got me on, they're so darn cute. I had no idea what to do with mine, so I put him inside this retro suite case and I think it looks adorable. Fun decor project!
