I would like to take you on a little tour of my sister's garden paradise, what a blessing it is. I love her space because is always so inviting and constantly changing, she loves to play and rearrange her garden art. My favorite feature in the garden are the metal butterflies because they look so beautiful intermingled in the over grown foliage. She has lots of cute sitting areas, hidden little garden paths, lots of wind chimes, a bird feeder and even a two sit swing. But, my favorite spot has to be that garden bench with the comfy coral cushions. I'll take a good book and some cold pink lemonade, please.
I guess you can say that gardening is in our blood. Maybe because my dad was a farmer in Cuba and then became the owner of a nursery/grower here in Miami. My fondest family memories are those early years in the Nursery. I still remember my dad giving me his daily late afternoon tours. He would show me everything he had accomplished that day. We would walk around and talk about any new arrivals, an interesting customer and of course his folky jokes and stories . Sometime I would be ankle deep in mud with frogs all around me and not a care in the world. I guess is safe to say that every garden reminds me of my dad.
