I love my new garden beds.

I'm finished building them and I love them. Can't wait to start my fall garden, I need to level them first and then fill them with some good light soil. I think I'm going to wait a couple of weeks, it should be cooler by then. I love the color, they go really nice with my pots.

That pedestal is for my water fountain, that of course I bought with me. I'm planning on putting an arbor between the two pots, I think it will frame the fountain nicely. Well that's the plan.

Garden winding down and fall is around the corner.

Time to start cleaning up. The weather is starting to change here a bit, It's cooler in the morning. Yesterday and today it was very noticeable and when the sun goes down in the evening it get cooler. I can't wait, fall is my favorite time of the year and here we get fall in all it's glory. The colors OMG, we are so blessed, the little cottage right in front of ours has the most beautiful tree in front of it and it changes color. That's the view from our bedroom, living room and the TV room. We see this beautiful tree from everywhere, this fall I'll get a picture of it. Last year we were moving in and I kept looking at it, but never had the time to even get the camera out. For us living in Miami most of my adult life, We're so looking forward to fall here.

Sunflowers, LOVE.

This was my first time growing Sunflowers and I just love them. So many different kinds to experiment with. I only planted a row of about 5 feet, but I think next year I'm going to do the entire fence line. This next gardening season I'll be able to plan a little bit. All I did this year was throw seeds all over the place, I was still unpacking and had no time.

I also started setting up Hummingbird feeders and I'm so glad I did. I went on YouTube and learn all I needed before I got started. I made a caddy for just the Hummingbird cleaning supplies, measuring cups as well as a funnel. I like to keep all their supplies separate, I would hate to contaminate anything and hurt them. At first I was kinda disappointed, none came for about a week, then two. Now there's quite a few of them and they're really going though the food fast. I'm still getting the hang of it. Would definitely add more in the future.

My garden beds have arrived.

A gift from my hubby, he got me a set of six and I'm so excited about my new garden beds. After much research and reading many reviews, I went with these. In this humid southern climate I know untreated wood won't last long. These are guaranteed for five years and I think so worth it for the price. They do make recommendations on the soil that I will follow.
I want to design an area just for the vegetable garden beds, stay tune for the design. I love the color, they go well with my plan.

Last blooms left in the experimental garden.

Not too much left in bloom, it's so hot everything is almost gone. I have lots of plan for my garden next year. Like bed for my vegetable garden and I can't wait to start on the front garden. This was my first time growing Zinnias, so beautiful. I went as far as separating the Zinnia seeds by color and I just planted some orange and yellow for a fall bed, let's see what happens. I have no idea if a frost will kill them, I guess I'll have to wait and find out.

These I grew from seeds I got at the dollar store, I said why not let's what would happen. I remember never been able to grow Petunias in Miami, I guess it never got cool. Next year I'm trying some of the newer Petunias that do not need to be dead headed.

This little bird bath is so sweet looking to me, she's getting swallowed up by the garden. I hope the birds can find it.

These I planted right inside my asparagus and they grew just right along each other, they look so pretty together.

New found treasure.

To say that I'm so happy is an understatement, WOW. I have been on the hunt for these vintage metal garden chairs since I moved here.  I have found a few but in very poor conditions, I guess they were left out in the elements for too long and they were rusted beyond repair, so I kept passing them on. Until one day I saw them there, just calling me out, and I grabbed them right away.
They need plenty of work but I'm so up for the challenge. I think they'll be so perfect for my Farmhouse front porch. To be honest I love this color but, I'm going for Farmhouse white, cant wit.

I love the rust on this, yes I do. Maybe with time some will bleed through when I paint them white????

I love the patina on this urn.

Some times when your life/garden is a mess you just need something pretty to look at, so you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Starting a new garden is exciting and a little frustrating all at once.
My sister pass down to me a few urns she no longer needed and I bought them all with me. I have so much work to do that I have no business planting an urn yet. But, I just had to, you know what I mean.

I'm so excited, finally saw two humming birds at the feeder, I'm so excited. But, I have to find out how often I need to change the food? I don't want to get them sick or anything.

Hung a new windshime that I've been saving, I love the patina on it. It's kinda close to the feeder and I'm not sure if that was such a good idea, maybe the Humming birds don't like the noise ????

The potato vines are awesome, I took cuttings from one little plant and now I have them all over the place. They come in other shades, but I love this pale green. I think I'm going to try and over winter some cuttings. I hope to set up a little grow corner in the spare bedroom to over winter some of my favorites. Some plants have been with me over 25 years, they were my dad's.

Going for a Farmhouse inspired front porch.

Been collecting a few things and my sister has given me some too. She gave me this dairy container and the boots, I love. I finished the table and bench.

A few containers in early August. .

Not much at all blooming and I'm surprised with what little is. So hot, and I'm getting ready for my first fall planting, actually cleaning and clearing things up a bit. I order some garden beds and I can't with for them to get here.
