Loving my new chandelier.

This chandelier was given to me by my sweet friend Meg. She said a client had left it behind a home she had sold and she thought of me. It was black and it came with some crystals, love at first sight. 

I so enjoyed arranging the crystals that I stretch the project out to almost the entire day. I've been collecting vintage chandelier crystals for some time now, have lots  left and need to come up with some projects to use them all.  At first I thought it would be a bit large for my tiny dinning room area but once it was up and with the mirror frame vignette in the background it looks so pretty and cozy and I love her . I can't wait to dress her up for Fall and Christmas.

Sweet little creamer.

I'm so loving this cute little creamer, I think he's so adorable. I figure it can go with just about any sugar bowl . I love the tiny flowers and the handle. For now I'm enjoying it as a vase. I got this beautiful and so fragrant Gardenia bloom from the garden store. Been so wanting to get a Gardenia bush. Actually I've been wanting one for a long time. But since my sunny ares are very limited and I would have to remove other plants. I end up talking myself out of it every spring.  

Vintage chandelier crystals and a sneak peek.

Once in a while I so enjoy taking out my vintage chandelier crystals and just display them around the house. I don't know why, but  I just love the feel of the cool class on my fingers and seeing how they sparkles makes me happy.  Today I finally started on a project that I've been so looking forward to. I'm taking my time and enjoying the process.   

New gorgeous Hibiscus.

God's beauty  is amazing, look at this bloom. It looks like it was watercolored in with a brush. Well hubby fell in love with it and he got her for me. Mind you, he's not a gardener, but said it was the most beautiful flowers that he had ever seen. It sure is beautiful, I love the color combination too. I'm going to transplant her to a much larger pot. I want to be able to move her around.

I'm a new aunt.

Had to share on my blog too. Meet Chops, she is my sister's new baby girl. My sister Dolly went on a weekend junking trip with her friend Beth. When she came home she was so surprised.  Her hubby had gotten this cute little thing. They had talked about it before, they're animal lovers. I can't wait to meet her, they're in love with her already, what's not to love. 

Furniture re-do project.

My sister was getting rid of this piece and of course I could not let her do that. It's been sitting here for a wile so I decided to go at it yesterday. The knobs I got a few weeks ago at Hobby Lobby and the chalk paint I found at Walmart over at the craft dept. The cream color is regular latex paint but, the contrast color is the chalk paint.  I going to cover the drawers in wall paper that I found a while back. I think this will keep my candles collection. I love candles and I like to keep them in the same spot for easy access. At first I thought I had gone a bit over board with the distressing, but I love how it turned out. She can't have it back now, lol. 

This was the inspiration for the color combination.
