Fall serving pieces.

I wish I had room to collect all the things that I love. A girl can dream, can she. 

          I've had these pieces for ever, I think they're my favorites, so clean and classic looking.  

I'm in love with these napkin rings. I should of gotten more but since I din't, I think I'm going to give it a try and make my owns.

A little fall decor.

I love love hand-me-downs, like this little dresser piece that was given to me by my sister Alina. She had it for a while, enjoyed it and no longer had use for it. You guessed it, I was happy to be the new owner.  It was all black so I went to town with it, loving that moss green chalk paint accent color. Found the perfect spot for it as a focal point on our entry area. The vintage window I picked up junking in Alabama and I love it so. But my favorite item is that beautiful vintage scale in the perfect cream color, I did not do a thing to it, other than dust it off a bit. I really enjoy sprucing things up a bit. But my favorite season has to be fall.    

All organic Spanish Mint tea.

This is my first year growing Spanish Mint. I'm one of those people that just does not like the taste of  mint, it just doesn't agree with me. But this particular mint does. I got a cutting from a neighbor about 6 month ago and I couldn't wait to try it. It's just like regular mint, very invasive. I made the mistake of planting it in the ground and it's taken over. This fall I'll be transplanting it to a large pot with good soil and great drainage. I'll also be making lots of baby plants from cutting to give out, I want my whole family, friends and clients to try it.  

Already harvested and dried a bunch, I just love the gentle naturally sweet mint flavor, so delish. 

I have a warm cup every evening around 8, just in time for my Spanish soaps. Yes, I have become my mom.    

      I swear this tea cup can make anything taste better. So beautiful, not vintage, from Marshals.

Ella dressed for fall.

I thought I try something colorful and fun for Ella this year. So I made her wings out of leaves. I love the beautiful warm colors and I think she looks like a fall fairy. The necklace is half a wreath, I had to wire each and every leave and that did take a bit to put together. 

I wanted to create another layer for the background of the banner. For that I used some tea dyed vintage wedding gown trim, any excuse to use my beaded bridal trim. This was a super fun project, I think I still like to pay with dolls, lol. 

I have such a great hubby, Ella sits in a corner of our living room because my art studio is not ready yet. Actually she's been there for a while now and it's doesn't bother him at all. Of course I love looking at her. Now if I could get away with an all pink bedroom.

                                Here all I did was add the vintage pin as the center of the sunflower.

Basket LOVE.

This wire basket was given to me by my sister, China, she found it at her local metal dump. She finds lots of treasure there; wish I had one near by. It was weathered and rusted, even though I love that look, I had to spray paint it because the rust would've stained the fabric. The fabric that was used for the ruffle was a vintage piece of clothing I found thrifting around. The best part is that my sweet mom made the fabric liners for me. I love how she did the ruffles, so shabby and pretty looking. Thank you mom, love you.  

This basket has a bit of  history. I brought it with me from Germany in 1992. You guessed it, I found it junking. I gave it to my sister and she had it for years. When she moved she asked if I wanted it back and  I said YES. It was a dark brown color. I washed it, primed it, and then spray painted it. I love it, mom did a beautiful job, I could never get those ruffles to look so perfect.  I love the fabric so much, so shabby and bright at the same time. I have one more basket, a picnic basket and as soon as I finish it, will share. Wish me well, because I'm going to do the picnic basket myself.

Coffee tablescape.

This fall I have challenged  myself to work with what I already have, we'll see how that goes.  I going to be using the traditional beautiful warm colors of fall but, I thought I start with some whites. I can't help it, I just love white. This coffee table gives me a nice size flat surface to play with. That's some major real state in my tiny home.  I so love this gigantic metal leave, it started to chip and I love it just like that.   

They make me happy.

These pictures were from a couple of weeks ago. But I'm still surprise that I have a few roses left on the vines. We've been getting tons of rain so I had to put them in the back porch area. Been watering them with rain water, so I don't know if giving them some shelter from the sun and rain has helped??? 

Can't wait for cooler weather, even if it's just a few degrees. Have lots of out door projects in minds, but no way not now, so hot.
