I have been neglecting my blog and also my bloggie community and I so enjoy it too. I can't wait for things to get some what back to normal but I'm also enjoying remodeling our little cottage. I forgot to share these pics from our first visit to our local botanical garden. We can wait to visit again, maybe for Christmas.

What have we been up to.
When I first found this house, I had no idea what part of town this house was located. I soon found out she is right in the middle of the historic part of this charming little southern town. We knew then and there this was our home. Mind you, she is in much need of some TLC. We instantly fell in love with this neighborhood, maybe because I have always lived in a large city. Our little cottage has been left in disrepair for many many years. We're trying to bring new life to this old Alabama cottage. The cottage has lots of little period touches and I would love to keep as many of them as possible, like the doors and this beautiful farmhouse sink that I love, chip and all.
I'm discovering original shiplap and you guessed it. I'm exposing it and loving it. At first we could not believe it.

Trying to update my blog. What happened ??????
I have been wanting to update my blog a bit, so I tried changing the wall paper and then it happened. I thought I lost all nine years of blogging fun. I was able to get the blog back up, but can't seem to find some posts on the renovation of our little cottage. Going to try and find pictures of the progress. But for now, let me share the front mudroom entrance. I'm loving all the light and brightness. My vision is to create a shabby cottage/farmhouse look, can you see it? Now I'm off to visit some of my bloggie friends, I need to see what everyone has been up to.
Loving the farmhouse light fixtures . This one is a reproduction but, it's just what I was looking for. The front door was replaced and I'm loving all the light. Will be putting up some kind of shabby window treatment??? Once we exposed the ship-lap I knew It had to be white.
This was a very happy day, the first ship-lap we discovered in the cottage and now it's very hard to stop, I still can't believe it.
We kept going into this wall in the living room. I've always dreamed of a wood wall but that's really hard to find in a modern Miami house unless you add the wood yourself. This original ship-lap yumminess is behind every wall in the cottage just waiting to be set free.

Vintage goodness.
My new home town is paradise for vintage finds. These were given to me by our friend Ms. Beth, she is the best shopper ever. I'm in love with the tiny shoes, so cute.

No trash only treasures.
Had a great day today, spend the day with Beth and my sister. We got to go hunting for metal treasures and we found some great things. By the afternoon they were cleaned, tag and ready to sell. I think what I liked the most was working on arranging and displaying of the booth. I was so into it that I so forgot to take pictures of the booth and it looked so darn pretty, but I'm sure there will be plenty of other times.
LOVE these.

Happy Planner layouts for July.
Lots going on with the renovations of our little cottage, but I can always find time to play in my Happy Planner. Yesterday our new AC was install, living in the south that's a must. Walls are coming down and electrical updated, let the transformation begin. I always forget to take pictures and record our journey.
