Butterfly garden journal.

This sweet little garden journal I put together for Mary, a coworker of my hubby's. She's started a butterfly garden as a project for her and her adult daughter to work at together. I thought they could document the progress here. 

These acetate butterflies have been with me for ever waiting for the right project. I used pieces of scrap fabrics that I keep for this sort of thing, and any excuse to bring out the sewing machine. I added a little yellow pinwheel as a book mark. I keep a journal for just about any subject, from baking, sewing, art,  projects and of course plenty of garden journals. I just LOVE journals.

This sweet little journal I put together with some gorgeous goodies from my friend Esme's Facebook store. I used all the little hand out pamphlets from church. Once I read them I hate to through them out, they're small and uniquely folded, perfect for this little project.   I so miss my scrapbooking and paper crafting. There're  just so much I want to do and I end up doing not a thing. It's like all the projects are in my head but I can't seam to get organized enough to get started. Well, for now I'm enjoying these little quick projects.  

Sweet little vintage glass bottle.

I found these beautiful vintage glass bottles when I visited my sister in Alabama a while back. Of course they were not this clean and sparkly looking, actually they were nasty and dirty. I soaked them over night in a soupy water with vinegar and I had to use a tiny brush too. So worth the work to get them clean, cause now I get to play with them. This one I made for my sweet friend Wanda Contreras Pagan     . I love this lady, whenever I'm creating something I think of her, because we like the same things. I also altered a hook so that she could hang it from. I'm sure this will fit right in her lovely craftroon.

Can't remember when my hair was this long.

It's been a busy crazy summer so far, sometimes little projects keep you busier than a big project. I was getting ready for church on Saturday and I just can't believe how long my hair has gotten. I'm having fun with it and I think I'll keep it for a while. 

Sweet gift.

I'm so excited about these little vintage goodies. A friend of my Jamo's from work follows my Facebook and we've gotten to know each other even though we have never met. Her name is Mary and she's so sweet to sent these to me. She said she had them for a while and she thought I could use them. What? I love them and I think I'm going to use them as Christmas Ornaments.   

Summer blooms.

It's getting really hot down here in So Florida. But I still have a few plants in bloom. My garden work has pretty much stopped because of the heat. Now I'm working on some inside projects, mainly I need to paint a few pieces of furniture. 

Sometimes I just don't get much done.

These beautiful rustic wind chimes have seen better days but, they sure are singing today. Once I sit and relax I just can't seam to get up and that's OK by me. It's a cool, windy, dry day in Miami, gorgeous.  I could sleep out here, if only James would let me. I got a lot done yesterday, and that's what I love about  a garden, you have those days you just want to take it all in. 

I've seen a few videos on YouTube on making some home made wind chimes out of cooper tubing. I have to get the right tools, I know I have a blade that will cut metal but I don't think I have the proper bit for my drill. How beautiful would the patina show on that cooper?
