Been wanting one of these for a while now and so I went for it. This is how I styled it with things I had around the house. I think it's going to be a lot of fun to see what I can come up with for the fall. One more thing to decorate with and make our little home more welcoming and cozy, love it.

Packaging my envelops.
This is how I wrapped my envelops for the swap that I was in. My swap partner loves tulle and I love pearls. The pearls are a three strand necklace that I found junking around. I've been wanting to use it some how, I'm glad that I didn't take it apart. I think it looks so pretty against the tulle.

Desk area/command center all done.
I just love how this little area turned out. I finally put up my curtains and I'm all done with this area ( for now, lol). This is the old back mudroom. The desk my sister gave me and I revamped the top with fence boards that I stained and sealed. The lamp and shade were garage sale finds.
This little desk actually hold a lot and the drawers are smooth as silk, I love how well they made old furniture. Our printer is in the closet, all plugged in and ready to go. The little iron chair use to be my mom's old sewing chair and I love and treasure it. I do want to re-upholster it, it now has a really pretty shabby fabric, but it doesn't look right with this black and white thing I have going on. Looking for new fabric, maybe gray???

My garden is still hanging in there.
I think my garden is done producing for the season. It's way too hot and things are so stressed out that they're not even blooming. Hardly no tomatoes to be seen and the beans are all dried out. I just have some sweet potatoes and I can't wait till harvest time. First time growing then and it seams like they like all this heat.
I learn a lot this season about my new gardening zone, I've been keeping up with my garden journal and documenting it all and it should really help me for nest year's garden. I have a bunch of new flowers that I want to try next year. Since my Irish potatoes did so well, I'm going to find more garden spots to squeeze more in next season.
Eggplants were amazing, they love the heat.

Envelop swap.
I wanted to add a postage to each of the envelop and this is what I came up with. I added layers of fabric, did some sewing and added lots of texture. I love working with fabric, this was such a fun swap and I'm so glad that I was able to participate.

Flowers FOR my honey.
Our house has been so quiet these past few days, my Jamo went to visit his mom, she's very sick in the hospital. He was gone for 4 days and it felt like forever. We do everything together, we have no children, it's kinda all about us and what we want to do. Mostly we just want to do stuff together, all the time.
I cut these fresh beautiful Sunflowers from our garden as a welcome home for him. I think he likes them cause I like them, lol. He picked up my fav carry-out and we're just going to enjoy each other's company and watch some Netflix. The older I get the less I need to be truly happy.
