SEEDS GALORE. YAY!

I'm one happy lady full of anticipation. Ready for my spring and fall planting. If I'm only successful at one thing, let it be some Sweet Peas. They're my second favorite, next to Tube Rose. Sweet Peas are so delicate and such a wonderful fragrance, never been able to grow them back in my zone 10 garden, Miami. I think now in my new zone 8, Alabama I might have a better chance.

My first carrot ever.

One of my goals for 2019, is to master my camera.

If you know me, you know that I love taking pictures and telling a story. I really wan to set a few hours a week aside to learn more about the features in my camera. Try some new setting, watch some tutorial and go for shoots around my neighborhood.
Like anything else that you want to do well, it takes knowledge and lots practice. I want to get away from shooting in auto, going to do all my shoots in manual.  I want to get really good with my aperture and depth of field. My favorite pictures are the ones with a sharp crisp image and a blurry background.  I also want to concentrate on some night photography, all new to me.
I would love to take a class or join a club, maybe that would be a goal for next year. I still have lots of small project left to do from our move.

These I are all mine.

Reflecting on the new growth season.

I love the down garden time I get here in my new zone 8, Alabama. My garden in Miami was always go, go go. I always felt like the garden never rested. I'm so enjoying this garden down time, it allows me to day dream and plan my next years projects. I'm full of energy and anticipation.

This garden walk happened on a wet December morning. Everything was so fresh and beautiful. My favorite are these Narcissus just starting to bloom. I love them and they're wild, all over my garden. Sometimes I dig them up and transplant them some place else.
