A little thank you.

This arrangement I just put together fresh from my garden. I originally wanted to bake her a little something, but I'm nursing this cold, not a good idea. I wanted to thank a long time member of our community Assn that did us a big favor. We just moved here, they don't know us and still helped us. Not used to that, but I guess that's what a small southern town community is all about. So thankful.

I need to get my hands on some more pink Glad bulbs. I've never grown them before and I can't get over how well they do here. I think the bouquet would of looked prettier with pink Gladiolus, but it's all I had in bloom.
My next garden goal is to try and grow some Peonies, they're my favorite. I have no idea if they will grow here or not. I did pick up a bulb from the big box store that I planted and it was doing well but it had an accident with the weed eater and the I lost it. There's always next year.

I think I'm back to loving pink.

I feel at peace just being in my studio, it's my girly space, even when my studio was half of my old laundry room. It doesn't even matter how big or where it is. I think the fact that there're no rules, whatever makes me happy finds a place here. Some people may get dizzy surrounded by all this"stuff". I love seeing the fabrics, tools, paints and pretty little treasure that my crafty friends have blessed me with. It all makes my heart smile.

First garden season in our new zone 8b, and I couldn't be happier with the results .

Since we're still working on the house and I have lots of little projects pending, no time for gardening, NOT. I just couldn't let this garden season just pass me by. So I cleared a little area along the outer perimeter and created some beds for my cottage garden. I removed all the weeds, added a bit of aged compost, our native soil is awesome, not too sandy and the perfect red clay. I'm used to gardening on top of coral rock, this is amazing. I just threw some seeds and baby plants all over, no tags. I don't know what's what, and new things are popping up everyday and I love it.

These Petunias I grew from seed, will try again next year for sure.

This guy made the trip from Miami, survived a few frosty nights and he loves it   here too.  I use a lot of this ornamental asparagus in my floral arrangements. It's so soft and flowy looking that it complements just about any flower.

Loving my border logs, because of the woodland look that it gives the garden.  I need to be on the look out for more.

I have plans for this bed, I'm doing Roses here. This bed is parallel to our future deck, so we can enjoy the fragrance. All gardeners have to think and plan  ahead, lol.

Age gracefully, yeah right.

Just got in from working out. Yes you can look good for your age, but the aches and pain, OMG.  I'm not even doing half the work out I did 3 years ago and I'm dead. But I'm grateful that I can do that.

Playing with my camera.

Sometimes you just want to take pictures of pretty things.

For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
    I will help you.

Feeling blessed.
