HAND MADE BY MOM .

 

Ok, so now you know where I get my creativity from. Yes, my sweet mom, she can really do just about anything she puts her mind to. She has a friend that recently taught her how to knit. She did these from my specifications and without a pattern.

I've been wanting to make a  banner with doll clothing but I've not been able to find any. So she made these just for me and I will treasure them always. I don't really have a favorite because I love them all. I LOVE my mom, she's the best. I know we all say that about our moms.

 

 

SHE KNOWS WHAT I LIKE.

 

I'm a little late posting these beautiful goodies. Last week I received a surprise package from my sweet friend WANDA. She put a lot of time and love in this box, she had everything wrapped up so beautiful. Take a look at all these treasures. It's like she put all my favorite things inside this box.  I'm so very grateful and touched by her kindness.   

 

PLAYING WITH SOME KEYS.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week. Thank God I've been very productive this week. So far this month I set myself a goal to just work on projects that I've had on the back burner. You know those little selfish projects, just because you feel like creating.

 

I needed to make a few tags for more basket that I got to organize some new items and supplies. I always like to add one of my altered keys with the tag. Well, I ran out of keys, so I went at it again and this is what I came up with. Hope you like them.

 

MY HEAD IS FULL OF PROJECTS.

I have so many projects that I want to finish. They're not big projects, and I'm not one to rush, I like to enjoy what I'm doing. As far as our garden, most of the cleaning is done. All we have left is the pressure cleaning  and I like to pressure clean. Then the best part, we have plans for some new planting, can't wait

For now this is what I have been working on indoors.

These little 3 letter signs I made out of children wooden play blocks. I started by painting the edges of the blocks in white and then I covered the blocks with scrapbooking paper.  I used a Tim Holtz  pin and added the letters. The best part was embellishing the blocks.

 

These are button bomb bombs and I got this idea from a Sumerset magazine. I have plans for them too, they're going to be part of a project that I'm working on. I'll share it once it's all done.  All that it is,  a round magnet,  buttons and a bling on top, all glued with liquid nails.

These are up coming projects and I can't wait to start painting and de-stressing. Will share once they're  all done. Going to be playing with some home made chalk paint that my sister gave me some tips on and her secret recipe. I can't wait to get started.

This is a huge Lazy Susan that was also a hand me down from one of my sisters and I love it. All that I've done to it  so far is that I've primed the marble, actually I'm not sure if it's marble cause I don't find it that heavy. I'm using  Kilz, for none porous surface. I love this stuff and I'm running low. I've been using this forever and it's amazing how the price keeps going up and up. Oh well, what can we do, I need it and love it.

SEWING THEME BULLETING BOARD FROM RE-CYCLED PICTURE FRAMES.

Ok, so my mom had more re-cycle goodies for my annual garage sale. Of course I found thing that I'm so not selling, I always do.

 

                                 I think I'm turning all of these into bulletin boards of some kind.

       This antique folding table was my sister Dolly's, that she did not take to Alabama with her. My mom asked if I wanted it, gorgeous, look at the vintage  caster wheels.

My sweet mom with the help of my sister, have been de-cluttering and revamping her little sewing studio. She no longer needed this chair and no one wanted it, so she gave it to me. I have plans for her.

This so cute little apron I think must of belong to one of my nieces. I love the print, I collect vintage paper dolls, so you know I'm also keeping this little treasure.

 Ok now for my project. I turned one of the picture frames into this shabby bulletin board. It was black so I started by first painting it in a soft cream, then I sanded it down a bit. The final step was to give it a light brown glazed for a vintage look.  I covered the back with white burlap and just embellished.  I used fabric glue and liquid nail to make sure it all stayed on really well. I got this idea from a few pins on Pinterest, I love Pinterest. Thanks to my friend Teri, who was the first that turn me on to it.
