Awwwww the Roses.

I love Roses in the garden, not particularly fond of them in professional arrangements?? I wounder way? I know they can be a little high maintenance. I picked some varieties that are doing very well and I don't even need to cut the spent blooms, they just keep on producing. I think those are the Flower Carpet variety ones. 

Now the old fashion, like the David Austins do have some black spots on them already. I so need to find a good treatment for them. They are gorgeous and I don't mind the maintenance. But for my future purchases I'm sticking to the newer varieties. 

I love Gara, but this particular color it's gorgeous. The blooms seam to glow at sunset. Maybe I should try some white ones, I bet those will do the same.

My featured beauties of the day.

Glorious Gladiolus.

These are my favorite this year so far. I did purchased on line a pack of premixed corns and I can't wait to get them and see what I get. I picked a lavender color palette so I have and idea on the color combo. 

Spring, my favorite time in the garden.

Tea dying some laces and trims, just because.

Used some Avocado peels and green tea to dye these pretties. I haven't done that in a while and I forgot how beautiful they transform. Planning on doing a super huge batch next week. I always give them out and before you know it, I'll need to do more.    

My way of thinking is, if I'm going to have things around, I want to make them pretty. The simple act of displaying and rearranging something makes me happy. Just looking at this little tray, puts a smile in my heart.  I found this tray while on vacation and I've used it for so many purposes, Love. 

My future over grown garden path.

I love creating little garden paths all over the landscape. Here I had some left over pea gravel and it worked out so perfectly. The bigger stones I've had for well over 30 years, they just keep moving round with me. I love collecting stones. Being from south Florida, I also collect sea shells for the garden, but I had to stop and I also gave lots away to friends/customers. 

This little gravel path is all along the right side of the kitchen garden and it's big enough to ask permission from the plant so you can walk on by. I envision it almost not visible, with plant over flowing and creating a little jungle path way. 

These Glads are just so gorgeous. I got them at Walmart of all places and have never seen them again. I did pick up another variety pack just last week, I need to put them in soon. 

More Glads coming in, I love Gladiolus. I tried for many years in south Florida, too hot for them??? 

I'm terrible at keeping tags lately. I was so good with my garden notes. I had forgotten what color this little Rose bush was. I love a white Rose, who am I kidding, I love all Roses.

Loving my little new green house and everything that it symbolizes.

The greenhouse is small, but perfect for me. It's amazing how God can heal just about any wound. After my dad's passing (over 27 years ago), for many many years I could not visit a plant nursery or step foot in a green house. This over whelming sadness would come over me and I just could not bare the heaviness in my heart. I would get sick to my stomach, dizziness and shortness of breath. I let some time pass and tried many times, but I just couldn't do it. 

In my head I could not tolerate a greenhouse without my dad in it. This went on for many many years.

Look how amazing God is, he healed my sadness and now I have my very own greenhouse that brings me so much joy and fills my heart with love and gratitude. This is my second little greenhouse, I had one in Miami too. I just know that whenever possible God will  bless me with a greenhouse in my life. I also believe with all my heart that some day, when God allows it, I will walk in greenhouse with my dad again.      

Time to sit and relax.

I'm calling this done, finally finished here. Sharing some before and after of my "time 2 sit & relax" entry wall. I kept the table kinda simple because there's so much going on with the wall. This little old cottage is coming along. Exposing the shiplap was the best part of the project.
