My sister's fall craft goodness.

Had to come and share with my bloggie friends my talented sister Dolly's beautiful fall craft. She told me these pictures of her booth are a few weeks old and that she has sold out on almost everything. She is now finishing up with  her Christmas goodness. She really works hard, specially with a big annual craft fair coming up on base. She does all this and she has 2 kids, I'm never complaining again.

Mix media project, just for fun.

I saw this project of altering file folders on Pinterest and I knew I wanted to try and make some of my very own. These are tons of fun to create, cause anything goes. I did a VIDEO explain a bit more on the supplies and my thinking behind them.   

Playing with Photoshop, lol.

Yes, as I said on my Facebook, as long as there's Photoshop I'm never getting old. I think I've hit my middle age crisis, I will very soon be turning 54. But, the problem is that, even though I am starting to feel it physically. I just can't believe it. Me 54, no way,lol.  

My hubby and I started on this healthy journey, about 4 months ago. Not really a diet, just eating super healthy, no sweets or soft drinks of any kind and no bad carbs. It was really hard the first month, but now we're doing really well. I've lost almost 20 pounds and I'm so happy. I feel really great, and I'm going to start with weight training next week, hubby is my trainer,lol. 

I'm also showing off my beautiful new earrings and necklace gifted to me on a recent RAK by my sweet friend, JUNE.   

Your ATC store. My take on this kit.

This is the FREE kit for this month over at YOUR ATC STORE.  I so love this theme, our challenge is to create an ATC using just what's in the kit. But of course, when you get your kit you can add flowers, metals and just about anything you like. I love the images Lisa put in the kit, they are so cute.   

Just for fun flowers.

These flowers were respired by some of my crafty friends. They are made out of scraps pieces of laces and trims. I think they will make for create gifts and I can always use them on crafty project.

 

Been working on my yard.

It's that time of year again for us here in south Florida. This is our spring time of a sort, lol. It's still very hot, but the cleaning has begun. I've got great plans for my garden this year, I've neglected it these past couple of years. Not really doing anything major other than a big cleaning and cutting back on things that are out of control. I don't know why that relaxes me so, to cut things back????

I've started lots of things from seed and I have been babying them with lots of TLC.

Started to freshen up the beds with my potting mixture that seams to work for me. Equal parts of a good potting mix, cow manor and Pet moss. My secret weapon.  

This is my maintenance free corner, I needed a little change here. Maybe Bromeliads ??? 

This is one of the main reasons I love planting in the grounds, I love the look of mulch and red is my fav. I think it looks so pretty against the green, besides all the other benefits like keeping it a bit cooler and controlling the dreaded weeds.

This has been the wettest season ever here in Miami. It's still raining, but the great benefit of it, are my crocus. They bloom every time it rains and I just think they're so beautiful.

My Shabbylishious DT project.

This is my design team project for Shabbylishious. I used a little dress form that my friend Beth found for me in her hunts. I can't believe someone got rid of this cute little thing. I got to use and play with Lele's  beautiful laces and flowers and this is what I came up with. 

Rain rain go away already.

It's been such a wet summer here is south Florida. It's been raining for about 3 months, no kidding. I can't take it anymore, I need to work on my garden. I need to feel the dirt in my hands, I know I'm weird that way.

Here are a few pictures I managed to take on a rare sunny day. I can't wait to start planting my seeds, but it's way too hot still. In the meantime I think I'll head over and enjoy Boobbie Lynn's garden.
