I found this OLD picture of my family. This is very early 70s when we had just gotten here from Cuba. This is in Chicago and these early days in the US are my fondest memories of my dad and us discovering a whole new world. Can you guess which one is me????

Latest sewing project.

I've had this fabric for a while with this project in mind. Finally I finished it and I'm happy. I wanted to make some kind of a cover for these drawers, it worked.



I keep my punches in this cart and it's perfect for me because I can just wheel it to my scrap area.

I love this cart but, these drawers are too exposed.


I added these Little glass knobs and tassel, love it.

My 50th Birthday Layouts.

These layouts are from a birthday cruise we went. I celebrated my 50th with my best friend from high school, Sonia who also shares my same b-day. I met Sonia in Chicago in an ESL class in 1970, we've been friends ever since.

Beauty and the Beast card.

This card I made for my oh, so cutie of a niece. She had the lead roll in the play as Bell. I made her this card cause she loves to scrap book with me.

More goodies to add to my collections.

OMG I'm so happy, can you believe someone was getting rid of all this. The warehouse next to my tia (aunt) Caridad's was throwing out all these sample books of fabrics and trims, she said she has a bunch at home for me. I could not believe it, they are perfect for little sewing project or to make tags. I can't wait to start playing with it all.











I'm so excited, I just received this huge box of vintage goodies from my personal shopper lol. My friend Beth from Alabama, she just loves to junk around, so she's always on the look out for things that I might be able to use, she's the best. I LOVE getting happy mail from her. Thank you Ms. Beth, I loved everything and I also received your second box but, did not take picks of it, great goodies in there too.

Can't sleep.


May God's light, grace and comfort be with all those families grieving the lost of loved ones. May God's presence be with all those who now have to start putting their lives and neighborhoods back together after those deadly tornadoes. Please lord keep all the bad weather away from that area. I also pray for all the rescue workers thatare probably tired of working hard and long to find survivors. I ask this lord in the name of Jesus, Amen.
