A little fall color for my Ella.

Blessings for everyone that still reads my blog, lol. Well, cool fall weather finally got here to beautiful LA (lower Alabama). It's been raining all day, but that's ok by me. I still was able to open all the windows and bring in some of that clean and crisp cool weather to enjoy. I  also did get to sit on the porch a bit and enjoyed the relaxing rain sounds on the tin roof, priceless. I've always wanted a simple tin roof, just for that. I have to convince my hubby to let me put a little day bed, nothing fancy, on our back porch. Wouldn't  that be so awesome.
Today I also got to work on my Ella a little bit. Took all that pink goodness off her and gave her some fall colors. Now she looks like a vintage Boho-Hipster just like me, lol.

Styling the fireplace for FALL.

This year I challenged myself to style the fireplace with items that I already had around the house. So I went foraging in my fall decorating bins. I find it easy to accessorize for fall, I just switch out a few key pieces around. You can change your color schemes with pillows and throws. Use fall-theme accessories in different ways, make it fun and make it you. I love drying and using some of my summer flowers, they remind me of how beautiful my garden was last summer.

Beautiful swap from my friend Esme.

Esme did such a gorgeous job with her paper bag creation and I'm loving all the goodies. We needed to decorate and swap a loaded paper bag. She used Tilda paper, my fav. and sent me way too many goodies. Planning on making something extra special special for her as a surprise, maybe for Christmas? I have an idea in my head, but I'm not sure yet. She's an amazing sweet lady and I'm blessed to call her my friend.

Some fall color for this little spot.

This year I wanted little pops of fall colors throughout the house. It's still so hot that is hard to get in the fall mood, but I went for it anyways. This is a super fun little server to decorate for the seasons and I think the mirror makes the space look larger than what it really is. I found those fuzzy pin pon balls stems at a garage sale and I don't know what it is about them that I just love. They remind me of something happy and I don't know what.

I've always loved the look of tarnish on silverware. But, then again, I just love things tattered and old.

This sweet white cloth pumpkin, my sister made and I managed to grab a few for me. She makes them a little different every year and once they're gone the're gone.

The garden is hanging in there.

It's still so hot here in the deep south, we haven't had rain for like 2 months now and the soil has turned to dust.  My drip irrigation system that I set up for the front garden has been a total success and I'm so happy with it. Can't wait to install one for the back, God willing this winter I will.
My goal for this and next week is to clean and pull the back yard, it's done and I need to get ready for the fall garden season.
I have lots of plans for the kitchen garden beds, maybe try some new things this year. These are the last pictures of the summer garden. It's always a little sad when it's all done, but I'm blessed and grateful for this year's harvest. Blessings.

What's going on with my blog.

I have no idea what's going on with my blog??? For the longest time, I'm having problems finding my posts. I gave up on checking for a while and today it's all back to normal. I have been posting on a regular basis and the post would stay up and then go away and then come back??? I don't know what's going on or what I did wrong cause I can't get to my comments for like ever???? Not giving up, still playing with it.

Sneak peek at my swap with Esme.

Fall paperclips.

Made a few more paper clips for a swap I was in. It's so relaxing and addictive.
