Have I mentioned that I'm super in love with this paper collection

Here are some of my latest layouts, again using the 9 to 5 paper collection from October afternoon. What a  fun collection this one is, very retro and the color are so pretty. I could not help myself and got the entire collection with all the embellies, OMG! These layouts are very 3D, with tons of layering and I also did a bit of sewing here and there, just for fun. I have one more little project to finish and I can't wait to share it with you.  

A very special 4th of July for my family.

What a day... Yesterday we learned that my aunt got her flight to come and visit us from Cuba. My mom's family has been trying for many years and they kept refusing her. All she wanted to do is visit her family, long sad Cuban story.

I last saw her when I was nine and now I'm almost 52. I remember how kind and sweet she was with us kids. She was so pretty, I remember a picture of her in a gorgeous long gown in some kind of a beauty contest.

Her spirit is still young and youthful, after a long stressful day she wanted to still go see how we celebrate the 4th. She went to see fire works, did I mention it was her birthday too, how special is that.

My mom is in heaven with her little sister here.

I wrapped and gave her a little gift you see below.I remember playing with her ONE lipstick and my mom would tell me not to waste it. Her last word to me when I got in the car to go to the air port was.... she told me not to be sad and that were I was going I could have all the lipsticks I wanted in all the colors I wanted. Those were her last words to me and sometimes I did remember her when I shopped for lipstick. Hoping to spend a lot of time with her, I have a little pampering planed for her.

Here are my lates 4th of July projects, a hanging sign I made and a banner. I just love making banners, they look so cute just about anywhere around the house.

4th of July wreath.

I've been in love with this wreath ever since I saw it on Pintrest last year. If you go to my board "It's a wreath thing" you'll find it. The one on Pinterest is made of red and white burlap, it's so pretty, but I did mine in denim. Actually every time I go on Pintrest I find something new I just have to make.

I just love this little image I found. Last year I used an image of the cutest little girl, so this year it was a little boy's turn. The paper I used is K&Company, from last year 4th of July collection.

Goodies to share.

I got happy mail, these goodies came to me from my sweet friend Ms. June . Loving all this goodness and I will put them to good use. What a sweet thing to do.

I also wanted to share my two favorite "creative" books. The author is the amazing Lisa Pace. I love her style and OMG her work is just gorgeous. Delight in the Detail is the first book I got from her, last year. Love it!  But, OMG Delight in the Season is my fav.
