Learning the art of whimsical drawing with Marah Johnson.

I had the most amazing day today, I headed to my local scrapbooking store THE PAPER NICHE for a class on whimsical drawing with the talented Marah Johnson. I met up with my friend Ms. Janet, finally got to give her, her birthday gift and I'm so happy that she liked it. I made her a burlap bag that I printed a beautiful image on canvas and embellished with vintage laces, a charm and a vintage pin. I'll post pictures soon.

Janet decided to take the class with me and I'm so glad she did, we had a good time. I've been so looking forward to this class and it was great. I'm a fan of Marah Johnson's colorful and fun way of doing whimsical art.

I've never done a class like this one, where you are free to just have fun doodling. We played with H2os and learned how to draw eyes, a face, a bird and the cutest fish. We also made some new friends that sat across from us, just an overall fun class.

Just the gift wrapping.

Sometimes they don't want to open it, but they have to. The first pictures are of a card I made my mom for her birthday. I think she liked the wrapping more than the card, lol.
The second set of pictures are of the gift wrapping I made for my nice. I gave her an art journal and I wanted to make the wrapping a little artsy. I just love that bicycle stamp.

Re-decorating and changing things up a bit.

I've been very productive these past few weeks, having so much fun. But, not creating and making art projects. I've been working on projects around the house. Sometimes I wonder how I ever find the time, but I do because I love decorating too.
So far I've sanded, primed, painted, upholstered, sewn new curtains and spruced up an old lamp a client gave me.
I've also finished priming, painting and organising more baskets that I got at Target. It feels so good to get things done and I'm so happy how it all turned out. I'm really loving this new shabby chic look that I'm going for. It's all so crispy white with hints of pink and green, so girly ..... poor hubby. LOL, he says he's happy if I'm happy.

More beautiful ATCs.

Hi friends, I've been missing from my blog for a while. I've had lots of work come my way. I do feel blessed and I'm very grateful but, I'm a little bit tired. I've also been working on some organizational projects at home, scrapbook related and I'll show you my progress latter.
I've been wanting to post these beauties for a few weeks now, but I've had no time. Here they are, some more beautiful ATCs. These are from a private swap I did with Ms. ANA. The first picture is of a wall hanging sign she found will junking around, I just love it. LOOK at all this goodness.
Can you believe, these are her first ATCs ever. We were exchanging one and she did all of these. Yes, she is hooked. Love them ALL. Thanks you Ms. Ana.
