More Websters goodness, and a little whining.

Not to get political on ya. But, can you believe this is my only baby picture. My mom was able to sneak it out of Cuba when we left, over 40 years ago. Everything was the property of the government, even your baby pictures.

So every time I think about my property taxes and home owner's insurance going up, I think of this picture. What am I complaining about?

I am bless to have this one baby picture and so blessed to be apart of this great country. Now I'm going to work on a few of my sister's.

  1. OMG, what a beautiful picture -- what a beautiful baby you were (although you're a beautiful lady). I don't blame your mom for having to take that picture, it's gorgeous!!! And how Bless you are to even have it!

The layout is just beautiful too; just the perfect backdrop for that picture!

    Beautiful!

  7. What a bittersweet thing that picture is. How sad for your family to have to leave so much behind.

Your layout is simply gorgeous. I utterly love the depth you create with your embellishments and layering. Wonderful work!

  8. Coming from a large family, we didn't have many baby pictures either. Still, I would use this lovely picture over and over again---to tell your stories. Seems to me that you need to tell the story of "sneaking out" of Cuba. Surely your family has told you about it. I would love to hear it.
    Gorgeous work too!!

  9. Oh my goodness, what a STUNNING LO and you were a beautiful baby! Love the backgroud history...you're right, so many people choose to complain and focus on the negative when we really need to be practicing gratitude for what we have...that's the key to happiness!

I am SO following you now...all of your other posts that I've looked at have been FAB as well and I can't wait to see what you post next!

    Hugs!
    Naomi
